Mailchimp Recipient List less than what was Uploaded.

v7,v6

When uploading an email list from VetlinkSQL to Mailchimp, the Recipient list in Mailchimp will often be less than the total to be uploaded in VetlinkSQL.
This is because mailchimp will clean the address list first before importing it. Some of the email addresses Mailchimp will remove are:
  1. Invalid email addresses. Mailchimp won't accept an upload with email address in the wrong format. For example emails with no @ symbol, or a comma in the address won't be accepted. VetlinkSQL will prompt you to exclude these or fix these when the upload is being done.
  2. Role based email addresses like admin@, tech@, billing@, etc.. will be removed from imports. More info on these can be found here, https://mailchimp.com/help/limits-on-role-based-addresses/ (note that the link doesn't show a complete list. Other email addresses like account@, info@ don't seem to upload either).
  3. Mailchimp keeps a list of email addresses that have had a hard bounce. A hard bounce indicates a permanent reason an email can't be delivered. Any of these emails will be removed from imports as well. To find a list of these emails in mailchimp check out this link, https://mailchimp.com/help/about-cleaned-contacts/.
