Label Size Guide and Configuration

Drug Label size 

  1. Label size needs to be at least 7cm * 4cm
    1. If height if more than 4cm vetlinkpro will use the extra height
    2. If width is more the extra width will just be white space. The label is not able to print more than 7cm wide.
    3. Dymo Labels 99015 or 30258 (diskette) (recommended for dymo)

  2. Label size & orientation to be set in the Printer Driver
  3. Label can be rotated 180 degrees in print driver if printing upside down
  4. Left, top, bottom Margins can be adjusted in VetlinkPro

Recommended Printer

  • Zebra ZD421D direct thermal network version

Warning and Logo details on label

These can be turned off in VetlinkPro Options – Setup -> Printer -> Print Options
  1. Print Warning on Drug Label
  2. Print Logo on Drug Label

Adjusting Margins + Preview

Can be adjusted in VetlinkPro Options -> Picklist Setup -> Reports -> Other reports -> Products -> Sr-095
  1. Set Custom Props = Yes
  2. Can adjust Left , Top and bottom margin
  3. Can set preview – preview handy for double checking what is printed.

Calibration

Changing labels rolls in printer may mean they don’t get centred correctly when they changed.
So means printing is slightly misaligned.
Calibration realigns the printing so edges of the labels are found correctly.
Devices and Printer -> Select Printer -> Printer Preferences -> Advanced Setup -> Calibrate
