Partial refunds

This process is used when a client requires a refund for returned items.
1. Identify and note the invoice number that includes the returned items.
2. Navigate to **Billing > Special Functions > Refunds**.
3. Select **Reverse Existing Bill**.
4. Tick **Partial refund**.
5. Remove any items from the refund invoice that are **not** being refunded.
6. Select the appropriate payment method for returning the funds to the client (e.g. EFTPOS).
If the client does not wish to receive the funds immediately (or the refund is not being processed through today’s till), select the payment method **Charge** (sometimes labelled **To account**, depending on clinic settings).
When the client is ready to receive the refund:
1. Open the client’s record.
2. Click the dropdown next to their credit display and select **Client refund**.
3. Enter the refund amount.
4. Select the payment method used to return the credit to the client.
